Back to Thuja

Thuja occidentalis Columna is a tall columnar plant of blunt top which can grow up to 5m tall and 1m wide. Frequently used for hedges, this conifer is planted at 80cm intervals, and can be grown in regular pots as well. Not particularly demanding when it comes to type of soil; however, it thrives in deeper and fertile soil in full sun or partly shaded exposures. In this case it can take on more prominent green colour. Not particularly demanding, the variety is quite easy for keeping.

Having upright columnar habit, thuja occidentalis Columna doesn’t require pruning. Planted in early spring, it will grow more intensely and take on more prominent colour. A full sun lover with preference to lot of water.
