Description
This is relatively new variety originating from England. It is one of the latest and largest varieties. The Penny tree is medium lush and flowers late. Penny is a self-sterile variety which reliably produces a fair amount of fruit.
Penny cherry features blunt cordate bright red fruits. Their flesh is firm and of good quality. The fruits are sensitive to cracking (the index is 35). It is an interesting variety due to its late ripening, it holds well in transport and has quite large fruits. It is harvested from 15th to 20th June.
